Abstract :
The GPR is currently one of the most convenient sensors used for the detection of the dielectric objects buried under the ground. The performance of GPR strongly depends on the target size, structure, depth and soil type. Ultra wide band (UWB) GPR has a significant advantage due to benefit from both low and high frequencies, which means long-range detection with better resolution respectively. In this paper, an innovative GPR design that includes impulse generator, UWB antennas and RF receiver circuits and signal processing techniques is presented.
