Abstract :
Instant messaging applications based on Client/Server infrastructure have several defects such as scalability, single points of failure, DDoS vulnerable. P2P based instant messaging applications avoid above problems. However, users in P2P networks are difficult to identify the presence members of groups. In this paper we describe a novel instant messaging infrastructure based on semantic P2P network. The peers can be grouped virtually into hierarchical classified domains. Compared with the presence systems, ours can communicate with members of any hierarchical sub domain groups.
