Abstract
As one of the largest developing country in the world, China plays an important role in controlling GHG emission . Therefore, it is necessary to fully recognize low-carbon economic competitiveness and its feature. Accouding to the connotation of low-carbon economic, this paper designs a system of low-carbon economic development capacity evaluation index and comprehensively evaluated the provincial low-carbon economy development capacity by using principal component analysis method. The result shows that: (1) The competitiveness of low-carbon economy is various in province level, it shows one trend of “low in west, high in south, and local hopping”; (2) There is an obviously intimate relationship among between low-carbon economy competitiveness and regional economy development and mineral resources;(3) China regional low-carbon economy coordinated ability is poor, the area that development level and low-carbon level stay coordinated is not much. Therefore, in the future, China government should strengthen the management, control and guidance of carbon emissions gradually, and choose the key region, not only to support region to reduce carbon emission, but also to support its economic development to get a high level.
