Abstract
Electroplating Wastewater Pollution in China faces a serious and low level of pollution control status of electroplating. A kind of flexible, simple and lowcost process that is suitable for treating the electroplating wastewater has been tried to be found out. An fixed-bed reactor has been designed by using inexpensive and easily obtainable FeS for treating the mixed electroplating wastewater containing chromium, copper, zinc and cadmium. The effect of the parameters of the packing height, particle size of FeS, water flow and backwashing cycle amount on the treatment efficiency of heavy metal ions was mainly studied; the validation test was carried on under optimal conditions, and a comparison of the results with the previous achievements were made, which lays a foundation for industry in the future.
