  • Abstract
Describes a conventional information paradigm and offers a novel model paradigm in sensory communication. In terms of both paradigms, possible principles of organization of neuronal mechanisms of some higher functions of the brain have been compared. The neurone-model outlook regards the sensory system as an adequate neurone-multilevel semiotic model of the environment, i.e. it represents the memory. Thus, the novel paradigm suggests that the sensory system is a model and not a communication system
