Abstract
A rationalized approach is introduced for reducing the electromagnetic (EM) radiation from electronic equipment by providing shielding in some section of the PCB. An algorithm is developed and implemented to find the appropriate section where shielding is necessary. A composite CAD package is employed to predict the EM radiation from the PCB with and without shielding. This method of reduction of EM radiation is described and validated experimentally. The results obtained are gratifying
