Abstract :
The paper presents a new family of wavelet frames. The wavelets are symmetric and span dual frames where the synthesis and analysis filterbanks are distinct from each other. The available degrees of freedom then allow for symmetric filterbanks with rational coefficients, avoiding the issue of coefficients truncation in implementation.
