Abstract :
The carbon emission in different regions in China is different. The regional differences of carbon emission in China based on the perspective of land use structure are studied in this paper. Based on the method of the Theil indexes, the author analyzed the regional difference of carbon emission in China and examined the effects of agricultural land and construction land on regional difference of carbon emission through comparing the Theil indexes computed by agricultural land and construction land as weights, respectively. The results showed that the regional difference of carbon emission in China was significant. The regional difference stemmed from the differences both in the regions and in the areas. From 2003 to 2008, the trend of difference about the carbon emission of the Eastern region and the Middle region keep consistent. The trend about the western region was decreasing. The land use structure had important influence on the regional difference.
