Abstract :
EM (Electromagnetic) field-pattern measurements are one of the hottest subjects. Field patterning helps to understand how EM waves propagate and what kinds of phenomena happen for EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) problems. The steady field distributions have already been studied for EMC designs and countermeasures. Not a few animated fields given by the way of numerical computations have been reported. However, the behavior or propagation of the real EM waves given through the precise measurements has seldom been shown so far. The authors succeeded in showing the real wave propagation for the EM pulses moving along a parallel transmission line. In this paper, some reconstructed waves for different line-terminations are given as the motion pictures together with the measurement method and the recomposition algorithm of the spatial waveforms from the temporal ones.
