Abstract :
The experiment was conducted in straw mulching in tea plantation where the vertical temperature distribution, the depth that daily changes of temperature influenced, and the proper straw mulching thickness were studied by testing the changes of temperature in different layers. The effects of straw mulching related to the weather. In sunny day, warming was better than the cloudy day or rainy day. The changes of daily temperature disappeared as the depth of straw mulching was more than 40.9cm. The proper thickness of straw mulching was determined by the loss of energy and the whole energy lever. The proper thickness of straw mulching was about 20cm in winter in Hefei Area. The analysis about time interval suggested that the observing time interval in microclimate should be less than 1h since the meteorological elements varied sharply in a short time by the temporal and small spatial scale process.
