Abstract
The presence of an overhead lightning protection system designed to protect structures from direct lightning attachments will alter the electromagnetic (EM) environment surrounding the structures located at the space launch pads. This analysis addresses the overhead protection system´s effectiveness against the EM environment generated by the protection system in the case of more frequently occurring nearby strikes
