Abstract
With improved data envelopment analysis (DEA) to calculate the water resources utilization relative efficiencies of eighteen districts and countries of Beijing from 2001 to 2009, the results showed that water use relative efficiency in each district or county of Beijing had improved obviously. To study spatial distribution pattern of water resources utilization of eighteen districts and countries of Beijing, this paper used exploratory spatial data analysis (ESDA) to reach the conclusion that water resources utilization relative efficiency of Beijing didn´t have significant spatial features. Local spatial autocorrelation analysis showed that spatial distribution pattern of water use relative efficiency of Beijing changed from previous south-low and north-high pattern into center-high and surrounding-low pattern which is similar to economic spatial distribution pattern of Beijing. We concluded that the economically developed region in general also had higher water resources utilization relative efficiency.
