  • Abstract
This paper describes a lower consumption bird repeller with an adequate compensating power supply. The bird repeller, installed on transmission tower, can repel bird´s activities and keep the tower from bird disaster. The first remarkable feature of the bird repeller is two detective ways (infrared and microwave detective methods) and three repellent ways (electric shock, sound shock, ultrasonic shock). Secondly, this paper comes up with an induction compensating power to solve the problem of acquiring power. The induction compensating power can transform magnetic energy around transmission lines to direct current for battery-charge, therefore the bird repeller can work uninterruptedly on the transmission lines. Finally, experimental results and consumption compare are given to verify its feasibility and performance.
