Abstract :
This paper analyzes the slotted microstrip antenna equivalent circuit and the slot theory, and then describes a novel slot-coupled dual-band dipole antenna for RFID tag. The proposed antenna uses a novel compact structure and reduces the area of antenna by 15% or more than similar antennas. Simulated results computed by HFSS 10 indicate that the impedance bandwidths (less than -10dB) of this antenna are 810MHz~960MHz and 2.26GHz~2.61GHz. The relative bandwidths of this antenna are 16.6% and 14.3%. The radiation characteristics of this novel antenna also have good performance on 910MHz and 2.45GHz.
