Abstract
A proposal for a send and receive glove-based system is presented, with silicon microengineering recommended as the only low-cost technology that can provide the fine detail associated with sending and receiving touch sensations. It is recognised that this technology will have to be integrated with existing gloves to provide the full range of perception necessary for the device to create a successful market
