  • Abstract
We examine the effect of partial-band jamming in MFSK/FH-SSMA systems with FH patterns generated by permutation polynomials. If M(x)=m 0+m1x+···+mk-1x k-1 is a permutation polynomial over GF(q), where m0 is a data symbol and the combination of m1,···,mk-1 corresponds to a user, then the FH pattern to be transmitted, (M(0), M(1),···,M(αq-2)) (α is a primitive element), takes the entire range of frequency levels as uniformly as possible. This FH pattern construction gives a good anti-jamming property. Moreover, we propose a new decoding scheme to improve the performance of MFSK/FH-SSMA systems in the presence of jamming
