Abstract :
In this paper, an adaptive relay-selection protocol with joint channel and frequency offset estimation for cooperative wireless communication systems is investigated. The performance of the proposed scheme is at least 2 dB higher than the decode-and-forward protocol with fixed relay selection in high-SNR regimes. Furthermore, simulation results show that the proposed system is robust to high frequency offset, and it could be effectively applied to an unequal frequency offset environment in which the source and relay nodes need not to confront the same frequency offset.
