Abstract :
The 2-dimensional DCT transform kernel based on the SOPC technique of Xilinx Company is designed by hardware software co-design, in which VitexII-pro FPGA is the physical carrier. Then, the transform kernel is integrated to the SOPC system, among which the device driver and the test program are written and compiled correspondingly. Finally, the programs are downloaded to the integrated board and, passed the board-level verification. The experiment results show that the above method meets the design requirements and has the potential application fields.
