Abstract :
New results in the area of cerebral asymmetry and neurocomputing are presented. The characteristics of the world are represented to the subject by means of formal metatext (the input pattern), which contains certain and uncertain knowledge. In the meaning-text-meaning procedure, two types of problem regarding the perception and understanding of text are addressed. The first type contains both certain and uncertain knowledge, which is represented by means of grammatical constructions, numerical data, etc. and reduced to the form of situational parameters. The other type contains uncertain knowledge which is represented by means of gestalts, so that text is processed as multisignificant images. Consideration is also given to the right hemisphere activity of formalization (D. Shapiro, 1991), based on the plurality of interconnections of multisignificant images
