Abstract :
A novel blind Sigmoidoscopy and Colonoscopy image restoration is presented based on Shock filter with Coherence Edge Enhancing and adaption of Guided filter for reducing Staircase effect and Gradient Reversal artifacts. Using this method, clear images are obtained from degraded medical images without increasing noise and blur dimension. Experimental results show that the proposed method improves image quality in medical parameters, provide image compression and improvement in parameters like SSIM (Structure Similarity Index Measurement) as compared to conventional method.
