  • Abstract
In this paper we have proposed some guidelines for the construction of an agent-based and commitment/institution-based communication framework for managing a supply chain network. It also presents a distributed model to organize agent interoperations, using institutions as the main management element, and commitments between agents as a way to model interactions among agents and promote organized supply chain management. We think that the framework that we have proposed is flexible enough to let developers use the concepts to model supply chain management.
