Abstract
A prototype Walsh Function Generator (WFG) for a NASA satellite called the ESTAR (Electronically Scanned Thinned Array Radiometer) has been designed and tested. Implemented in a single Xilinx XC3020PC68-50 Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), it generates a user-programmable set of 32 consecutive Walsh functions. These functions are used for noise cancellation in analog signal processing circuitry associated with each of the 124 dipole antennas that make up the array
