Abstract :
The fuzzy handover control algorithm, which avoids the handover decision when the received signal strength is small, has been analyzed from the robustness point of view on a workstation simulating a violent multipath fading inside a building. The analysis of zero averaging time has shown that the new decision avoided algorithm can highly enhance the handover robustness. The analysis is performed when the handset moves toward the longitudinal direction of a corridor of 50 m across the service area boundary of two 950 MHz base stations. The increase in the service area with low telephone quality and also the reason for it are analysed exhibiting a permissible degradation
