Abstract :
Various aspects of electricity generation resource allocation and planning are presented in this study on a hypothetical example of the generation resource pool of the state of Georgia augmented by a substantial amount of photovoltaic renewable generation, likely to happen in the next several years due to increased proliferation of PV, supported by both technological advances (higher efficiency cells) and economic benefits (lower prices due to the economics of scale).
