Abstract
The frequency and amplitude of signals generated by the electrodes of DC type flowmeters are demonstrated to be affected by the particles in slurries flowing in closed pipes. A low cost spectrum analyser has been configured to extract the frequency component which then can be used to monitor density of the slurry.
