Abstract
Using PSpice, a simple and practical design method for the input filter of a thyristor converter is presented. The LCL input filter configuration is selected in the view of its effectiveness and simplicity. The order of the domains of the constraint function and object function is decreased to 1-dimensional so that the design process becomes both fast and simple. The application scope ranges for various kinds of thyristor power converters and practical input/output conditions can be considered.
