Abstract :
The requirements of the 1990 National Electric Code (NEC) regarding disconnecting means are described with emphasis on location of disconnect switches, the requirements for fusing, sizing, and other considerations associated with the proper operation of disconnecting devices. Brief mention is made of the results of a survey of industry users indicating the degree to which these respondents comply with the NEC
