Abstract :
A new perfect reconstruction quadrature mirror filter banks with finite impulse response filters are constructed from systems of biorthogonal refinable functions and wavelets with the Condition energy preservation. The most significant feature of these filter banks is that filters preserve energy very well. Based on the efficient constructing algorithm, odd-length filter banks are constructed for applications in image processing.
