Abstract :
This paper specially addresses the UWB and WiMax coexistence issue and evaluates the possible mitigation technique DAA. We have discussed, within DAA detection part, whether the detection should be performed in uplink or/and downlink and whether the coherent or non-coherent detector should be used. To detect with only one link (up or down) is not so optimistic than to detect with the both links. The DAA key time domain, frequency domain and power domain parameters and their influence on DAA performance are discussed. In addition, we propose a regulated technique, where the UWB regulates its transmitting power, ranging from -80 dBm/MHz to -41.3 dBm/MHz, in six steps. The regulated transmitting power density of each step is assigned based on the power isolation between the UWB transmitter and WiMax receiver.
