Abstract :
There has been rapid progress in the fields of image capturing, coding and display, which brings the realm of 3D closer to reality than ever before. This work introduces a method of reconstructing 3D model from several 2D images of an object taken from different views. This employed on a shape from silhouette (SFS) method, which construct a voxel based 3D model from silhouette images. Proposed work construct a voxel based 3D model from silhouette images using SFS method. Marching cube algorithm was employed for a better visual accuracy. Results show high visual accuracy of reconstructed images. It was observed that visual accuracy increases as more number of silhouette are input along with reduction in reconstruction time when compared to SFS method.
