Abstract :
The environment protection management systems (EPMS) measures air pollution emitted by road traffic and uses a variety of means, including traffic control, provision of traffic information, and guidance to recommended pathways for individual vehicles, to reduce the amount of pollutants emitted, thereby protecting the health and environment of the residents and pedestrians exposed to automobile emissions. We began our research in 1994, and by 1996 had begun demonstration testing based on our theoretical conclusions. The purpose of our research is to contribute to the reduction of traffic pollution and the prevention of global warming from both the theoretical and field-verification sides. This paper describes the methods that we employ to reduce NOx (a representative traffic pollutant) and CO2 (a representative greenhouse gas)
