Abstract :
This paper describes a improvement of torque control performance for PMSM drive system by using model predictive control (MPC), which is possible to drive PMSM even in overmodulation and rectangular-wave mode, because proposed controller based on MPC is able to generate accurate voltage vectors by setting the appropriate prediction period which determine voltage phase resolution. Simulation results show torque control in rectangular-wave mode is feasible.
