Abstract :
The South African Grid recognizes the need to maintain an updated and validated dynamic database for power system stability studies. The code also specifies that power stations shall conduct test (or studies) to demonstrate that each generating unit complies with each of the requirements of the code. This paper looks at testing and model validation for South African Grid Code compliance.
