Abstract :
We introduce the signal control system in Japan, called MODERATO (management of origin-destination related adaptation for traffic optimization). MODERATO is the nucleus of the integrated traffic control systems, and is the core of the universal traffic management systems (UTMS). This system is making a great contribution to the traffic safety and smoothness by using its advanced signal control technology
