Abstract
The method for determination of an initial rotor time constant of a cage induction motor is presented. It consists of applying the step form voltage and measuring the responding current. After some simplifications the current response term becomes easy to analyze. At least two measuring points are necessary for determination of both stator and rotor time constants.
