Abstract :
AGV, as a kind of mobile robot used to convey the material, path planning, navigation and localization in the controlling system must be provided for carrying out the conveying task due to the particularity of its working environment. The composite navigation system, which is a combination of gyro, encoders and ultrasonic sensors, is proposed for simplifying the navigation system and improving the controlling reliability. The test had been accomplished on XAUT-AGV100 made by our institute. The results have proved that the navigation method is available and effective.
