Abstract
This paper proposes a preliminary framework by which the power of multimedia systems can be harnessed for use in discursive educational interactions, such as educational debate. The framework uses concepts from dialogue game theory, and in particular the dialectical system "DC". The paper outlines the DC system in some detail and proposes means by which it can be integrated within a multimedia environment.
