Abstract :
To study the influence of KCl additives on the characteristics and mechanism of sunflower stalk pyrolysis , pyrolysis experiments of pretreated sunflower stalk by different concentrations KCl solution were performed by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) at five different heating rates, and deduced the mechanism using the Satava method. Results showed the pretreated sunflower stalk by 3% and 10% KCl solution pyrolysis process can be separated into four stages. DTG (differential thermogravimetric) curves appear shoulder peaks. With the heating rate increasing, the main pyrolysis zone of the TG (thermogravimetric) and DTG curves move to the high-temperature direction, and the maximum pyrolysis rate and its corresponding temperature increase too. Adding a small amount of metal salts is conducive to the formation of volatile, and a certain amont of metal salts can improve the charcoal yield. The Satava method inferred the most possible mechanism function of KCl-pretreated sunflower stalk pyrolysis is Zhuralev-Lesakin-Tempelman equation, which is three-dimensional diffusion, and KCl-pretreated changed the pyrolysis mechanism of original sunflower stalk.
