Abstract :
Purpose: to investigate the effects of SCP on mice. Procedures and Methods: 160 healthy Kun Ming mice were randomized into 4 groups, 40 mice in each group. 10 ml/kg dose was administered intragastrically to mice in the control group (distilled water), high, middle and low dosage groups (polysaccharides content: 40, 20, 10mg /kg·d) for 30 days. Then the loaded-swimming time, the enduring time of hypoxia at normal pressure, the serum lactic acid, LDH, BUN and LG were tested by experiments. Results: SCP can increase the loaded-swimming time of mice (p<0.05, p<0.01); prolong the enduring time of hypoxia at normal pressure in middle and high dosage groups (p<0.05); decrease the contents of the serum lactic acid and BUN (in middle dosage group, p<0.05; in high dosage group, p<0.01); promote LDH activity after swimming (p<0.05, p<0.01) and LG reserves (p<0.01). Conclusion: SCP obviously affects mice on anti-fatigue and anti-hypoxia.
