Abstract :
In order to explore the change of coenzyme F420 under different organic loading rate in single-phase reactor of anaerobic digestion for food wastes, the content of coenzyme F420 was determined by ultraviolet spectrophotometry and fluorescence spectrophotometry at the same time. The results showed that the content of coenzyme F420 decreased to 0.048 mmol/gVSS when the volumetric loading rate was between 3.0∼5.0 (kgVS/(m3×d). When it was between 5.0∼8.0(kgVS/(m3×d), the volumetric biogas production rate increased to 5.5 m3/(m3×d) and maintained the highest level, meanwhile the content of coenzyme F420 was significantly increased to 0.225mmol/gVSS, there were predominant flora of methanogens that contented more coenzyme F420 in the reactor. Because of different kinds of methanogens contain different content of coenzyme F420; using it to evaluate methanogenic activity in single-phase reactor of anaerobic digestion for food waste was inaccurate by following the change of coenzyme F420 with increasing organic loading rate.
