Abstract
We experimentally investigate the use of various DC-balanced line codes for downlink modulation in single-fiber, wavelength-shared WDM-PON systems which employ 10-Gbps directly modulated lasers and 2.5-Gbps reflective semiconductor optical amplifiers for downlink and uplink, respectively.
