Abstract :
A bacterial strain WZS-A was found to efficient decololorize Safranine T. It was preliminary identified as Pseudomonas aeruginosa according to its morphological, physiological and biochemical characters and its 16S rDNA gene sequence. Studies on the characterization of decolorization enzymes and substrate broad spectrum of this strain were performed. The optimal pH for the strain decolorization enzyme is 7.0. Plasmid detection and curing experiments demonstrates that the Safranine T-related degradation gene located in plasmid. This is the first study to report on the characterization of Safranine T degrading bacterial.
