Abstract :
In order to improve use flexibility of the State´s commercial cipher symmetric algorithm SMS4, SOC design method for embedded soft core based on Xilinx Company´s MicroBlaze is developed to design key extension and encryption/decryption operation of SMS4 algorithm into IP hardcore by means of hardware and connect SMS4 hardcore to PLB by interface module. Test result shows that encryption algorithm realized by hardware can greatly increase encryption rate of embedded system and encryption and decryption rate can reach 177.8Mbps in the case of system dominant frequency of 50MHz.
