  • Abstract
The paper presents a complete model of the auxiliary quasi-resonant DC link inverter (AQRDCL) and the relevant control strategy conceived to evaluate the dynamic performances of a three-phase asynchronous motor drive used for electric vehicle applications. Simulation tests are presented and discussed, allowing the investigation of the suitability of a resonant power converter topology in the field of electric vehicle drives where an optimized exploitation of the DC source and, in future, the need of limiting the dv/dt effects (conducted and radiated EMI interfering with the control and communication systems installed onboard), are important constraints
