  • Abstract
    A control strategy for grid integrated photovoltaic (PV) system is presented in this paper. To capture the maximum available power from PV panels, an Incremental conductance(IC) method is implemented. Since the power generated from the PV array is DC, a voltage source inverter (VSI) with its independent active and reactive power control is implemented to transfer the generated power to the grid. The system model has been developed that consists of PV module, buck converter, VSI, buck converter controller for maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and VSI controller. Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS) is used to implement the proposed controller. Different scenarios by varying the temperature and irradiation are used to validate the controller´s capability.
