Abstract :
In a previous work, we described a green path selection protocol based on the inter-MAC convergence layer for heterogeneous mesh home networks. We showed the interesting features that it offers: simplicity, enhanced QoS and energy consumption reduction. In this paper, we present the associated performance evaluation conducted on an experimental testbed. We recall the principles of our solution and describe a graphical management interface used for monitoring purposes. Obtained results show that our inter-MAC green path selection protocol is efficient taking into account green parameters (energy consumption and radio frequency) while maintaining a satisfactory QoS.
