Abstract
VA description is given of the AG 1200, an arbitrary waveform generator that easily creates complex, periodic and transient, high-frequency waveforms that would be impossible to generate using conventional oscillators or function generators. The system can be divided into a control subsystem and a signal generating subsystem. The control subsystem is in charge of controlling of the AG 1200 as a whole as well as of the man-machine interface. The signal generating subsystem generates arbitrary analog´ signals. A simple explanation of the construction of the signal generating subsystem is given. Functions and operations are discussed
