Abstract :
This paper deals with the modeling and current control of non-conventional electrical machine dedicated to marine tidal current applications. The dynamic modeling of a Double Salient Permanent Magnet Generator, based on the analysis of the flux and inductances characteristics calculated by finite element method is deduced. A simple current control on dq reference frame is tested and simulation results are presented to validate the proposed model and to discuss the appropriate control strategy.
