            Abstract : 
We study the problem of intersymbol interference cancellation using multirate filterbank-based joint precoding and equalization. We propose an optimization method for the design of multirate equalizer. The resulting optimal equalizer maximizes the signal-to-noise ratio at its output and outperforms a suboptimal equalizer based on out simulation results. The optimal design is solved via quadratic programming
