Author_Institution :

Abstract :
Some of the work on the use of Gabor wavelets, a nonorthogonal family of functions, in the analysis of image data is reviewed. Applications to low-level vision problems such as boundary detection, feature detection and localization, and shape recognition are illustrated. A brief introduction to the Gabor wavelet transformation is included
